About Us

Back in 1993, our Director Emma struggled to find a store that could offer her advice and a range of products for her new baby. From a retailing family, Emma had been brought up working in her parent’s fashion stores. She decided to set up her own nursery store, Baby Birds, which is still active today.

In 2016, Emma’s daughter Molly joined the business and they together set up Roma. In 2019, we welcomed the latest generation “Baby Bird”, Molly’s daughter Valerie, marking four generations of Baby Birds. Our team are very much part of one big family.

Roma now operates in the UK, Europe and further afield with a network of distribution partners. We are present in over 200 independent retailers across the UK, and believe in supporting small business.
