This approach begins with the materials we have chosen. For example, the fabrics used in our prams and dolls' prams start their journey as recycled plastic bottles. These bottles have been transformed into durable and beautiful materials that make up the stunning dolls' prams for your little ones to enjoy.
This process not only reduces plastic waste but also gives new life to materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. By incorporating these recycled fabrics, we can create products that are not just beautiful and functional but are also environmentally responsible.
The commitment to sustainability extends beyond the product itself; our packaging is also designed with the planet in mind. All of our packaging is made from 100% recyclable materials, ensuring that once your purchase reaches your doorstep, it leaves behind the smallest environmental footprint possible.
Our sustainability beliefs are also spread throughout our pram range. The Roma Gemini for example, features interchangeable colour packs for the hoods and seat liners. This allows you to update the look of your pram with ease without needing to purchase a new one. This not only gives you the flexibility to change colours and patterns as often as you like, but it also helps to reduce the excess production of materials resulting in a more environmentally friendly product as well as saving you money.
Roma is proud to be part of the Ecologi family, a movement focused on supporting global environmental initiatives. Since 2021, we've partnered with Ecologi to enhance our commitment to sustainability and contribute to impactful projects worldwide. Through this partnership as of October 2024, Roma has prevented 196.32 tonnes of CO2 emissions from entering the atmosphere—equivalent to taking 151 long-haul flights, driving over 487,000 miles, or saving 589 square meters of sea ice.
We take our carbon footprint seriously, offsetting the emissions generated by our team’s activities, both professionally and personally. By collaborating with Ecologi, we’re able to support a range of meaningful projects, from generating clean hydropower in India to preserving the Amazon rainforest in Brazil and fostering onshore wind energy in Taiwan. Each of these initiatives, backed by Roma, helps build a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.
